
Verena Atud Achick-Muyu is a dedicated nurse, global public health graduate, and passionate health evangelist committed to improving individual and community well-being. Her journey began as a nurse and midwife serving in a deprived community—an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to equitable, compassionate healthcare. Over the past 20 years, she has worked across diverse healthcare settings in the United States and currently serves in Germany as a urogynecology nurse. Experiencing healthcare systems across continents has deepened Verena’s resolve to understand and address global health inequalities. She thrives on growth and continuous learning, expanding her scope in global health and health research. Beyond the clinic, Verena uses storytelling to humanize healthcare—sharing real experiences, lessons, and challenges that inspire others. Her mission is to promote healthy habits, empower nurses to lead with professionalism and empathy, and remind everyone that health is a shared responsibility.
