Olufunmilayo Adedibu, also known as Funmi Adedibu, is the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at FCMB Group Plc, with over 33 years of experience in legal practice and banking. She has led legal strategy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance across FCMB Group and its subsidiaries, covering asset management, stockbroking, pensions, and more. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (LL.B), the Nigerian Law School (BL), and the University of Lagos (LL.M). She is about completing her doctorate degree. Funmi began her career at the law firm Chris Ogunbanjo & Co., specializing in corporate and intellectual property law. She transitioned into banking, holding executive roles and playing key legal and advisory roles in two major mergers and acquisitions within the FCMB Group. Funmi serves on the Boards of First City Monument Bank Limited, Credit Direct Finance Limited, FCMB Trustees Limited, CRC Credit Bureau. She also serves as advisory member on a number of NGOs including the Motherless Babies Home Ibadan and Rebecca’s Home Jos. Funmi is a Life Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), an Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB), and an active member of the Nigerian and International Bar Associations. She is passionate about mentorship, governance reform, and youth development, particularly for the girl child. She has also attended executive programs at Harvard, Wharton, and Lagos Business School. She is married with children and enjoys music, football, and travel.
